SARANAC LAKE - Rene and Ruth (Lamy) Gendron recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Las Vegas, Nev., with their family, Bob, Cindy and Travis Gendron.

Mr. and Mrs. Gendron were married in [[St.%20Bernard%27s%20Church|St. Bernard's Catholic Church]] by the Rev. [[Clarence%20A.%20Kitts|R. C. Kitts]] on May 24, 1947.

They resided in Saranac Lake, where Rene owned and operated [[Gendron%20Lumber|Gendron Lumber]] until his retirement in 1979.

Currently they reside in Daytona Beach, Fla., and spend their summers in Saranac Lake.
