Mrs. Isabelle Miller and her daughter, Ruth, retired, are now living at the [[Hotel%20Berkeley|Hotel Berkeley]]. Mrs. Miller and her family lived at one time at [[15%20Riverside%20Drive|15 Riverside Drive]] where she conducted a [[cure%20cottage|cure cottage]]. She had been there about 38 years when she moved to Rochester where she lived for about 16 years. She also lived in Tonawanda for three years. Since leaving here, Mrs. Miller has done considerable traveling, Puerto Rico being one of the most enjoyable places visited.

Mr. and Mrs. Loren Miller of 32 Church St. are the son and daughter-in-law of Mrs. Miller.

SARANAC LAKE - Helen (O'Reilly) Miller, 78, of 32 Church St. died Wednesday afternoon at the [[General%20Hospital|General Hospital]].

She was born in Brooklyn, a daughter of Joseph and Evelyn O'Reilly.

She is survived by her husband, Loren, whom she married in July 1950.

Also surviving are a brother, Lawrence O'Reilly of Fort Myers, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Madelein Egerer of Mill Neck on Long Island, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Miller was a Broadway dancer and had toured the world in a dance troupe headed by Madame Pavlova.

She was stricken with tuberculosis in Japan and came to Saranac Lake to cure in the 1920s.

She cured at the [[National%20Variety%20Artists%20Hospital|National Variety Artists Sanatorium]].<sup>1</sup>  On regaining her health, she opened the [[Hollywood%20Dress%20Shop|Hollywood Dress Shop]], which she operated from 1932 to 1954.

In 1944, she opened the [[Melody%20Bar%20and%20Grill|Melody Bar and Grill]] on [[Woodruff%20Street|Woodruff Street]], which she later sold.

She was a member of the General Hospital Auxiliary, the [[Village%20Improvement%20Society|Village Improvement Society]] and the Friends of the [[Saranac%20Lake%20Free%20Library|Saranac Lake Free Library]].

She was known for her decorating talent for civic affairs, weddings and senior teas.

Friends may call at the [[Fortune%20Funeral%20Home|Fortune Funeral Home]] at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

A Bible vigil is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at [[St.%20Bernard%27s%20Church|St. Bernard's Church]], with the Rev. [[Timothy%20Chambers|Timothy Chambers]] officiating.

Interment will be in [[St.%20Bernard%27s%20Cemetery|St. Bernard's Cemetery]].
