Fire in the sanitorium conducted by Miss Rumenapp, at Saranac Lake, forecd her patients to flee to the street. The temperature was fifteen degrees below zero and a high wind was blowing. The patients, all of whom were suffering from tuberculosis, were scantily clad. They were cared for in the [[reception%20hospital|reception hospital]] and in nearby cottages.
