''''''William John '''D'Amico''' was an American [[Bobsledding|bobsledder]] who competed in the late 1940s and early 1950s. He won a gold medal in the four-man event at the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1948_Winter_Olympics|1948 Winter Olympics]] in [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Moritz|St. Moritz]], and three medals at the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIBT_World_Championships|FIBT World Championships]] with two golds (Four-man: [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIBT_World_Championships_1949|1949]], [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIBT_World_Championships_1950|1950]]) and one bronze (Two-man: 1950).

He also ran the [[https://localwiki.org/hsl/Brown_Bear_Restaurant|Brown Bear Restaurant]] in [[Ray%20Brook|Ray Brook]] in 1948.  He was a member of the [[Saranac%20Lake%20Elks%20club|Saranac Lake ]][[Elks|Elks]][[Saranac%20Lake%20Elks%20club| Lodge]] 1508.   He lived in Lake Placid.
