<span>The '''E&M Market '''was a small grocery store that opened in 1979 at 156 Broadway <span class="x4k7w5x x1h91t0o x1h9r5lt x1jfb8zj xv2umb2 x1beo9mf xaigb6o x12ejxvf x3igimt xarpa2k xedcshv x1lytzrv x1t2pt76 x7ja8zs x1qrby5j">Ernie and Martha Latreille (hence the name E&M).  When the owner of 156 sought a rent increase, <span>[[John%20Kent|John Walter Kent]] bought the lot next door that had been the site of the [[Broadway%20School|Broadway School]] and built the present structure in 1984.

They fielded a softball team in the 1980s.  [[Judith%20Vaughn|Judith Vaughn]] worked there for a time, as did Barbara Baldwin.

In 2011 it was sold to [[Pragna%20Prajapati|Pragna Prajapati]] who operated it as a convenience store and deli with her husband [[Paresh%20Prajapati|Paresh]] until 2015.
