Emerson D. Wertz was a Miami, Florida civil engineer and real estate developer who in 1957 developed the [[Blythmere|Blythmere]] property on [[Upper%20Saranac%20Lake|Upper Saranac Lake]] as [[Saranac%20Shores|Saranac Shores]] and [[Camp%20Gricoq|Camp Gricoq]] on the north shore of [[Gull%20Point|Gull Point]] as the Gull Point Subdivision.

In 1963, Wertz and [[https://localwiki.org/hsl/Francis_Casier|Francis Casier]]<span style=""> bought most of the outstanding shares of the [[Rockledge%20Park|Rockledge Park]] Co. stock from Mrs. [[Pauline%20Newton|Pauline Newton]] and her son, Edwin; in 1965, Casier became the sole owner.<h3>External link:</h3>
