For a time around 1921, this was the home of [[Christy%20Mathewson|Christy Mathewson]], who pitched for the New York Giants, and came to cure his tuberculosis in Saranac Lake.

The Feustmann Cottage is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing element to the [[Cottage%20Row%20Historic%20District|Cottage Row Historic District]].

[[Alfredo%20Gonzalez|Alfredo Gonzalez]] cured here for three years, approximately 1920-23, when it was a cure cottage run by Miss [[Ruth%20Collins|Ruth Collins]].
