SARANAC LAKE - Friend E. Swinyer, 69, of 56 Main St. died Friday at [[Saranac%20Lake%20General%20Hospital|Saranac Lake General Hospital]]. He had been a scrap metal dealer and had retired.

Mr. Swinyer was born in [[Loon%20Lake|Loon Lake]], a son of Edmund H. and Ella Carrier Swinyer. He served in World War II.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Angeline Lawrence of Pennelville.

The funeral service was this afternoon at the [[Keough%20and%20Son%20Memorial%20Chapels|Keough and Son Memorial Chapels]] with Pastor [[Edgar%20G.%20Wrigley|Edgar G. Wrigley]] of the [[7th-Day%20Adventist%20Church|7th-Day Adventist Church]] conducting the service. Interment will be in [[Pine%20Ridge%20Cemetery|Pine Ridge Cemetery]].
