SARANAC LAKE - Glenn (Fibber) Magee, 80, of [[Lake%20Colby|Lake Colby]], died Tuesday evening, July 10, at the [[General%20Hospital%20of%20Saranac%20Lake|General Hospital of Saranac Lake]].

He was born March 28, 1910 in Rome, the son of William and Hazel (Kirkland) Magee.

Mr. Magee was a resident of Saranac Lake for most of his life land was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy. He was with the National Guard for 24 years, retiring in 1972 as a master sergeant.

He had been a truck driver for the [[LaPan%20Fruit%20Company|LaPan Fruit Co]].; [[Munn's%20General%20Electric|Munn's General Electric]] and [[Latour%20fuel|Latour fuel]]. He also worked in the maintenance department of [[North%20Country%20Community%20College|North Country Community College]].

He was married for 54 years to the former Josephine Marello.

She survives.

The Magees operated a ceramics business for nine years until 1981[?] when they opened a fabric shop.

Survivors, in addition to his wife include two daughters, Jocelyn[?] Reynolds of Saranac Lake, Mrs. Jerilyn Fearnley of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sons, Scott Magee of Clearwater, Fla., and Barry Magee of Newport R.I.; sixteen grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, William Magee.

Calling hours will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the [[Fortune%20Funeral%20Home|Fortune Funeral Home]]. A Bible vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said At 11:15 a.m. Friday at [[St.%20Bernard's%20Church|St. Bernard's Church]].

Burial will follow in [[St.%20Bernard's%20Cemetery|St. Bernard's Cemetery]].

Donations in Mr. Magee's memory may be made to St. Bernard's Church.
