Harry Howard Brown, mayor of Bloomingdale for eight years and a member of the village board for 12 years died in his sleep last night at his home there. He had been ill for a long time. 

Mr. Brown, also a carpenter and a service station operator, had been retired. He was born June 11, 1889 in Bloomingdale, a son of [[Allen%20Brown|Allen]] and [[Edith%20Sanders%20Brown|Edith Sanders Brown]]. On May 15, 1910, he was married to Jessie Vassar who survives him. Also surviving are two sons, Clayton and Everette of Bloomingdale; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. William Stephenson of Bloomingdale; a brother [[Elmendorf%20Brown|Elmendorf Brown]] of Saranac; and several nieces and nephews. 

Friends may call at the [[Fortune%20Funeral%20Home|Fortune Funeral Home]] in Saranac Lake. A service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p. m. Wednesday with the Rev. [[Kingsley%20Yauger|Kingsley Yauger]], pastor of the [[Bloomingdale%20Pilgrim%20Holiness%20Church|Bloomingdale Pilgrim Holiness Church]], officiating. Burial will be in [[Brookside%20Cemetery|Brookside Cemetery]].
