'''John Marquay Dies After Long Illness'''

John Marquay, 89, of [[Marquay%20Cottage|6 Slater Ave]]., died yesterday morning after a long illness. He was a retired [[Camp%20Caretakers|camp caretaker]]. Mr. Marquay was born at Mineville on April 28 1871.

Survivors are his wife, the former Rose Duprey; a son, Leon of New York City; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Castellon of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Margaret Stanton of Miami, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Harriet Drinkwine of Ticonderoga; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Friends may call tonight and tomorrow night from seven to ten and tomorrow afternoon from two to four at the [[Keough%20and%20Sons%20Funeral%20Home|Keough and Sons Funeral Home]]. There will be a Rosary Service there tomorrow evening at 8:30 and a Solemn High Mass at 9 a.m. Wednesday at [[St.%20Bernard's%20Church|St. Bernard's Church]]. Burial will be in [[Pine%20Ridge%20Cemetery|Pine Ridge Cemetery]].
