'''Karl Eklund Dies Friday Afternoon At Little Neck, L. I.'''

Karl Eklund. 70, proprietor of Indian Springs Camp, popular Coreys summer resort, died Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Bernard, at Little Neck, L.I.

Mr Eklund had been in failing health for several months, and underwent an operation at the [[General%20Hospital%20of%20Saranac%20Lake|Saranac Lake hospital]] last July. Funeral services were held Monday at Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

A native of Sweden, Mr. Eklund was employed for some years as a chauffeur for [[S.%20A.%20Swenson|S.A. Swenson]] at his [[Swenson%20Camp|Upper Saranac Lake estate]], and at the [[Frew%20summer%20camp|Frew summer camp]] near [[Saranac%20Inn|Saranac Inn]] before, taking over the Indian Springs Camp at Coreys about ten years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gerda Eklund; a son, Carl Eklund, residing in California, and a daughter, Mrs. Bernard, at Little Neck.
