'''Luther S. Bryant''' was a farmer, and a [[Civil%20War%20veteran|Civil War veteran]]. He was a son of [[Samuel%20Bryant%20Jr.|Samuel Bryant Jr.]]  He is buried in the [[Union%20Cemetery%2C%20Vermontville|Union Cemetery]] in [[Vermontville|Vermontville]].

He brought Miss [[Betty%20Burns|Betty Burns]] to Vermontville after the civil war, probably from Virginia.

He enlisted as sergeant in the 118th Regiment, Company C (same as [[Thomas%20Norman|Thomas Norman]]) in 1862. He was promoted to lieutenant in 1863 at "Camp Adirondack" near Finlay hospital near Washington DC.
