<span>'''Perry Parsons''', from Bloomingdale, operated the [[Parsons%20Mill|Parsons Mill]] with his brother and his father, <span>[[Jeremiah%20Parsons|Jeremiah Parsons]].  Later he was the foreman at [[Branch%20and%20Callanan|Branch and Callanan]].

<span style="">He built [[Parsons%20Camp|a ]][[Parsons%20Camp|camp]] on [[Gull%20Point|Gull Point]] in the late 1950s when the property was being developed by [[Emerson%20D.%20Wertz|Emerson D. Wertz]].  According to his son, Paul, the logs for camp came from property he owned in [[Franklin%20Falls|Franklin Falls]], and the picture window came from [[Meyer's%20Drug%20Store|Meyer's Drug Store]]. The barn lumber in the interior came from the [[John%20Fletcher|John Aurthur Fletcher]] from the [[Fletcher%20Farm%20Road|Fletcher Farm Road]] in [[Bloomingdale|Bloomingdale]]. The fireplace bricks may have come from the Marcy Hotel remodeling project in the 1950s.

<span>Perry S. Parsons, 72, a lifelong resident of this Village, died Friday morning at the [[General%20Hospital|General Hospital]] of Saranac Lake

<span>The Parsons family had originally operated [[Parsons%20Mill|Parsons Mill]] in Bloomingdale and manufactured skis until World War II.

<span>Mr. Parsons was employed as a foreman at [[Branch%20and%20Callanan|Branch and Callanan]].

<span>He was born<span> <span>in [[Bloomingdale|Bloomingdale]], the son of [[Jerry%20L.%20Parsons|Jerry Lincoln]] and Belle (Gibson) Parsons.

<span>The Parsons family history traces back to Devonshire, England. Coronet Joseph Parsons emigrated on the second ship after the Mayflower around 1650.

<span>He is survived by his wife, the former Esther E. Eberhardt of Bloomingdale; two sons, Frederick J, of <span>Mercer Island in Seattle, <span>Wash, and Paul S, of Pittsford a sister, Mrs. [[Patricia%20L.%20Newell|Patricia L. Newell]] of Bloomingdale; seven grandchildren, Kim, Brett, Chris, Perry, David, Beth and John; and several nieces and nephews.

<span> He will repose at the [[Keough%20and%20Son|Keough and Son]], Inc<span>., <span>Memorial Chapels from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the [[Bloomingdale%20Methodist%20Church|Bloomingdale Methodist Church]], with the Rev. [[J.%20Bernard%20Fell|J. Bernard Fell]] officiating.
