SARANAC LAKE — Phillip H. Tucker of [[3%20Center%20Street|3 Center St]]. died yesterday evening at the [[General%20Hospital|General Hospital]].

He was born on Oct. 14, 1917, in Lake Placid, a son of Henry and Maude French Tucker.

He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle Crowningshield, two sons: Phillip, Jr. of Schenectady, William of Saranac Lake; two daughters: Mrs. Clara Jessmer, Mrs. Phyllis O'Reilly of Saranac Lake; a brother Richard, of Plattsburgh; two sisters: Mrs. Catherine Swenson, Mrs. Mary Smith, both of Albany; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was a life long resident of the area and had been a mason employed by the State of New York for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II.

Friends may call at the [[Fortune%20Funeral%20Home|Fortune Funeral Home]] from 7-9 Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday. There will be a Bible Vigil at the funeral, home Sunday at 8 p.m. .A, Mass of the Resurrection will be said Monday at 11:15 at [[St.%20Bernard's%20Church|St. Bernard's Church]]. Interment will be in [[St.%20Bernard's%20Cemetery|St. Bernard's Cemetery]] in May.
