'''Rasmus Brakstad''' was one of the [[Norwegian%20Sailors|Norwegian Sailors]] who cured in Saranac Lake during World War II. He was an able seaman; he had been in allied service on several ships, his last being the Norwegian ''Gansfjord'', until he contracted tuberculosis and came to Saranac Lake, where he died. Unfortunately, no "Report of a Case of Tuberculosis" card was found for him in the Adirondack Collection of the Saranac Lake Free Library. He is buried in [[Pine%20Ridge%20Cemetery|Pine Ridge Cemetery]] with the other Norwegian sailors.  He cured at [[Sageman%20Cottage|Sageman Cottage]].
