Robert Paul Goetz, infantryman, 24, has been killed in action in the fighting in Germany, his wife Mrs. Gloria Rock of [[13%20Woodruff%20Street|13 Woodruff Street]] was notified by the War Department. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. [[George%20Goetz|George Goetz]] of [[97%20Broadway|97 Broadway]]. His brother, Sgt. [[William%20Goetz|William Goetz]], was also in the Infantry stationed in France. Bob Goetz, sports editor of the ''Plattsburgh Press-Republican'', is his nephew. He was killed on April 17, 1945. He had been in the Army only 10 months...
