SARANAC LAKE - Roma Commo, 63, of [[100%20Lake%20Street|100 Lake Street]] died Sunday afternoon at Mary Fletcher Hospital in Burlington, Vt.

She was born in Saranac Lake, a daughter of William and Jessie Duso Denning.

Her husband, Leo A. Commo, who owned and operated [[C.C.%20Studios|C.C. Studios]][[C.C.%20Photo| ]]in Saranac Lake, died in April, 1968.

Mrs. Commo is survived by two cousins, Mrs. Catherine Biddle of Philadelphia, Pa., and [[Harry%20Duso|Harry E. Duso Sr.]] of Saranac Lake and a brother-in-law, [[Medor%20Commo|Medor Commo]] of Saranac Lake.

She was a graduate of [[Saranac%20Lake%20high%20school|Saranac Lake high school]] in 1931. She attended Julliard School of Music and the Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City.

For many years, she worked as a medical secretary for a number of local physicians. Mrs. Commo was employed by [[AMA|AMA]] from 1970 until her retirement in July, 1974.

Friends may call at the [[Fortune%20Funeral%20Home|Fortune Funeral Home]] at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A funeral service will be said at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. [[C.J.%20McAvoy|C.J. McAvoy]], pastor of [[St.%20Bernard%27s%20Church|St. Bernard's Church]], officiating. Interment will be in [[Pine%20Ridge%20Cemetery|Pine Ridge Cemetery]] in May.
