CANTON - Sarah Redwood, 90, formerly of [[20%20Church%20Street|20 Church St.]] in Saranac Lake, died Wednesday afternoon at the Moongate Nursing Home in Canton where she had been a resident for the past five years..

Mrs. Redwood was born April 10, 1893 in Paul Smiths, the daughter of [[Harvey%20M.%20Hyde|Harvey]] and [[Ada%20Hyde|Ada (Shean) Hyde]]. Her husband John died in 1962.

She had been a long-time resident of the Paul Smiths area and was employed at [[Paul%20Smith's%20College|Paul Smith's College]] for many years.

Survivors include a son, Lewis, of Zephyrhills, Fla; three brothers, Milton of Rochester, Ralph of Binghampton, and Olin of Largo,- Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. tomorrow at the [[Fortune%20Funeral%20Home|Fortune Funeral Home]].

Funeral services are Saturday at, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. [[John%20McLester|John McLester]] of the [[Saranac%20Lake%20Presbyterian%20Church|Saranac Lake Presbyterian Church]] officiating. Burial will follow in the [[Brighton%20Cemetery|Brighton Cemetery]] in [[Gabriels|Gabriels]].
