'''Winchester Howard MacDowell Jr.''' was the son of [[Winchester%20MacDowell|Winchester MacDowell]]. He graduated from [[Saranac%20Lake%20High%20School|Saranac Lake High School]] and worked at [[Trudeau%20Sanatorium|Trudeau Sanatorium]] and [[Ray%20Brook%20Sanatorium|Ray Brook Sanatorium]] before working at Rochester Products and General Motors in Rochester as a machinist. He served two years in the Merchant Marines in the US Maritime Service during [[World%20War%20II|World War II]]. After the war he worked for thirty years at [[Camp%20Adirondack|Camp Adirondack]] in [[Ray%20Brook|Ray Brook]] as an engineer in the power house. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the [[Whiteface%20Mountain%20Lodge|Whiteface Mountain Lodge]] No. 789.  He lived at [[The%20Porch|153 Lake Flower Avenue]] in 1948
