SARANAC LAKE - Edgar Patnode, 90, a longtime resident of Lake Clear, died yesterday, Jan. 12, at the [[General%20Hospital%20of%20Saranac%20Lake|General Hospital of Saranac Lake]].

He and his wife were the owners of the [[Maplewood%20Cabins|Maplewood Cabins]] in Lake Clear, and he had been an employee at the New York State [[Adirondack%20Fish%20Hatchery|Fish Hatchery]], also in Lake Clear, for 18 years.

Mr. Patnode was born in Churubusco on Aug. 5 ,1892, the son of Noel and Octive (Ezro) Patnode.

Survivors include his wife, the former Albena Poupore, of Lake Clear; a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Rita) Dupis of Tupper Lake.; two brothers, [[Herbert%20Patnode|Herbert]] of Massena and Fred of Churubusco; six grandchildren, Mark and David Dupis, Mrs. Randy (Theresa) Dennis, Mrs. Timothey (Laura) LaRock, and Linda and Karen Dupis, all of Tupper Lake.
