Pettis, 75-year old widow of the late official of the Conservation Department's Lands and Forests Division for whom the Pettis Forest on Lake Placid rd., beyond the [[Saranac Lake Golf Club\|Saranac Lake Golf Club]] was named, died yesterday at the home of her daughter in Albany. Her death was sudden: the day before she had not complained of being ill and the night before she had viewed a television show.		Mrs. Clifford R. Pettis, 75-year old widow of the late official of the Conservation Department's Lands and Forests Division for whom the Pettis Forest on Lake Placid rd., beyond the [[Saranac Lake Golf Club\|Saranac Lake Golf Club]] was named, died yesterday at the home of her daughter in Albany. Her death was sudden: the day before she had not complained of being ill and the night before she had viewed a television show.

	There will be a prayer service for her at eight o'clock tonight at the Tebbutt Memorial Chapel, 176 State st., Albany. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Church of [[St. John's in the Wilderness\|St. John's in the Wilderness]], [[~~Paul Smiths\|~~Paul Smiths]].
