Tanzini&#039;&#039;&#039; <br /> <br /> SARANAC LAKE - William J. Tanzini, 74, of Donaldson Road, Lake Clear, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996 at Adirondack Medical Center here. <br /> <br /> Born Sept. 13, 1922 in Saranac Lake, he was the son of Peter and Augusta (Menzel) Tanzini. He married the former Mary Leona Donaldson on Feb. 15, 1942. <br /> <br /> A lifelong resident of the [[Lake%20Clear|Lake Clear]] area, Mr. Tanzini was employed by Elliot Construction Co. and later the Charles Fisher Construction Co. until his retirement in 1983. Mr. Tanzini was a veteran of WWII and participated in the occupation of Japan with the Army Engineers. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and snowmobiling. <br /> <br /> Survivors include his wife; one son, William Tanzini Jr. and a daughter, Carolyn Moody, both of Saranac Lake; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, [[Shirley%20Tanzini%20McCarthy|Shirley Tanzini McCarthy]] of Deland, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. <br /> <br /> Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. <br /> <br /> Memorial contributions may be made to the [[Saranac%20Lake%20Volunteer%20Fire%20Department%20Rescue%20Squad|Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department Rescue Squad]] in care of the [[Fortune-Keough%20Funeral%20Home|Fortune-Keough Funeral Home]], Saranac Lake, which is in charge of the arrangements. <br /> <br /> ## Comments</div>
