26 St. Bernard Street

Address: 12 St. Bernard Street

Old Address: 26 St. Bernard Street

Other names:

Year built:

Cure Evidence: TBSWC, NYC1915

Other information:

It was the home to school superintendent Howard V. Littel from 1945 to 1948.

Alfredo Gonzalez purchased this house in about 1945 as a future home for his retirement. In 1954 through the early 1960s this was home to the Jorge Gonzalez family.

On 2012-07-21, Paul Laba wrote: "I lived in that house with my family in 1966-67. We rented the house from St. Bernard's Church which owned it at the time. It was a great house, with more rooms than we knew what to do with. The now-enclosed stone porch had no windows back then; I remember having to shovel it in the winter. Our next door neighbors were the Ratigans (Frank became mayor a few years later).

Starting in 1969, this was home to Ted and Dorothy Reichart and their family.
