Julie Lamy was a granddaughter of speed-skating legend Ed Lamy. She taught home economics in the Saranac Lake schools. A plaque in the Saranac Laboratory reads "Julie's Kitchen. Dedicated to the memory of Julie Lamy (1956-2007). A beloved board member of Historic Saranac Lake who was proud of this village and her family's role in its history."
