MRS. LENA DAVENPORT DIES AT SARANAC LAKE
Mrs. Lena Davenport, 73, widow of Nicholas S. Davenport of Saranac Lake, died Monday in that village.
She was a native of Upper Jay, daughter of the late Wilbur E. and Charlotte A. (Torrance) Sanders.
Mrs. Davenport, who attended the Keene school and Saranac Lake High School was for many years house mother of the Phi Delta sorority at Albany State Teachers' College. She retired last Spring because of ill health. Her husband was a druggist at Saranac lake for many years.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Saranac Lake.
