David Fleming VanNortwick worked on the New York Central Railroad. He made a delivery to the Trudeau Sanatorium and met Edna Dubray, who was a housekeeper there. They married c. 1900. Dr. E. L. Trudeau invited them to spend their honeymoon in Little Red. They lived at 46 Lake Flower Avenue. The two had nine children. David and his wife are buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
