John Langeloth Loeb, Jr., is a businessman, philanthropist, art collector, and former United States Ambassador to Denmark (1981–1983) and Delegate to the United Nations. His father, John Langloth Loeb, Sr., owned Gull Bay Camp on Upper Saranac Lake. In 1970, Governor Nelson Rockefeller named Loeb to a new State Council
of Environmental Advisors.
