Born: October 8, 1920

Ship: M/Y Stigstad

Jostein Stavang

In February 1943 Jostel Stavane was named as one of the Norwegian merchant seamen at Stony Wold Sanatorium who was studying Americanization English with Mrs. Edward H. Levy. The article in The Guild News was titled "Guild Resumes Stony Wold Classes; Torpedoed Norsemen Study English."

The correct spelling of this sailor's name is not known; it is assumed that both names refer to the same man.
