Ethel Saltus Ludington Anderson was the granddaughter and namesake of Ethel Saltus Ludington, for whom Ludington Infirmary was named. Her husband Walter James Anderson was the grandson of Dr. Walter B. James, who served as the director of the Trudeau Sanatorium after the death of Dr. E. L. Trudeau in 1915.
