Bernard Rascoe

Bernard M. Rascoe, 53, died suddenly at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at his home, 22 River St., Saranac Lake.

Mr. Rascoe was a carpenter and a Veteran of World War II having served with the Company C. Engineers Combat Battalion in Europe. He was a member of the American Legion. A son of Moses and Edith Farwell Rascoe, he was born in Onchiota on April 5, 1917.

Survivors are: his father; his wife Ruthe Primeau Rascoe, a stepson, David McGranahan of Ubol, Thailand; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sue Fountain of West Hollywood, Fla.; three brothers, Francis and Gordon of Saranac Lake and Leonard of Mooers; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Bowen and Miss Viola Rascoe of Saranac Lake; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Veterans Service and a Rosary Service were held Sunday evening at the Fortune Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was offered at 11:15 this morning at St. Bernard's Church, Interment was in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
