Arnold Finlayson was a [War II veteran].

Area Man Apparent Suicide Victim

Arnold Finlayson, 50 [sic], of Paul Smiths, apparently committed suicide early this morning. His body was found behind the Catholic Church in Paul Smith's at 8:00.

Finlayson, foreman of the maintenance department of the sanatorium at Gabriels apparently shot himself in the head with a .22 cal. rifle. He had been missing since Monday.

The dead man's body was found by Don Coughlin, who spotted Finlayson's car while on his way to work.

His body is reposing at the Fortune Funeral Home.

Finlayson is survived by has wife, the former Jean Betters and four sons, Richard, Gary, Stephen and Daniel.
