Louise LaPoint Pearl was a lifelong resident of Saranac Lake, and lived at 21 Pine Street as a child with her parents Frank and Marie (O'Connor) LaPoint, and siblings Margaret, Rita, and Edward. She graduated Saranac Lake High School in 1952, and eventually married someone with the last name Pearl.

Her Saranac Lake High School senior yearbook listed her with the nickname "Louie," and said she was "sincere and sweet."
