DR. SEIDENSTEIN DIES SUDDENLY

Dr. Leonard J. Seidenstein, Saranac Lake eye specialist, died suddenly at 2 a.m. this morning at his home on Riverside drive, following a heart attack.

There will be American Legion services at 7:30 tonight at the Keough Memorial Chapel. Religious services will be held at 7:45 p.m. The body will be taken to New York City to repose at the Park West Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Cyprus Hills Cemetery, L.I.

Dr. Seidenstein was born in Austria on May 25, 1900 and came to this country as a small child. He made his home in New York City where he was graduated from the New York University Bellevue Medical College for General Practice and Bellevue Medical College for Ophthalmology. He had been a specialist in his field for 20 years.

The Seidensteins moved to Saranac Lake ten years ago. Besides his widow, survivors include two sons, Lawrence, 11, and Robert, 9. There are one sister, Mrs. Fredreick Silver, of Larchmont, and two brothers, Dr. Harold Seidenstein, of Yonkers, and Irving Seidenstein of the Bronx.

Dr. Seidenstein was a veteran of World War II having served as major.

Dr. Jacob (?) Seidenstein rented office space from Dr. Frank Trudeau which he shared with him from 1946-1955. Dr. Trudeau took Wednesday or Thursday off and went to Montreal, possibly to McGill University.
