SARANAC LAKE - Edward S. Billings, formerly of Saranac Lake, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001 at the Arlington Hospital in Arlington, Va. Edward Billings was the beloved husband of 44 years to Elizabeth M. Billings. Survivors include his wife; one son, Edward. S. "Ted" Billings of Arlington, Va.; one daughter, Jessie W. Billings, and her husband Myron Eng of Arlington, Va.; two sisters, Jane B. Webb of Abington, Penn., and Marjorie B. Prentiss of Jay and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Saranac Lake. Following a reception, interment will follow at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Saranac Lake Free Library in care of the FortuneKeough Funeral Home which is in charge of the arrangements.
