James T. Cassavaugh, 56, of the Bloomingdale road, Saranac Lake died Thursday morning at Roswell Park Memorial Hospital in Buffalo where he had been a patient for three months. Mr. Cassavaugh was born July 3, 1906 in Saranac Lake. He was a lumberjack.
Survivors are his wife, the former Lillian Pearson; six sons, Edward G. of Parnell. Mo., Capt. James H. of the Air Force in New Mexico, Walter W. of Bloomingdale, Airman second Class Francis L. of McGuire Air Force Base, N. J., Charles E. of Saranac Lake and Paul A. of Brockport State University College; and three daughters, Mrs. Helen D'Avignon of Asmara, Ethiopia, Mrs. Hazel Fitzsimmons of Tonawanda and Miss Lillian R. of Saranac Lake. He also leaves seven grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Vincent Callaghan and Mrs. Archie Ormsby of Saranac Lake and Miss Nell of Malone.
Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home starting Saturday. A Funeral Mass has been set tentatively for Monday
