Address: 143 Bloomingdale Avenue/40 Cantwell Way

Old Address: 76 1/2 Bloomingdale Avenue

Other names: Denny Cottage (1929) DIS

Year built:

Other information: There are two other cottages that were identified as the "Denny Cottage" in the Disinfection Records, one at 76 Bloomingdale Avenue (directly in front of this address) and the other at 82 Bloomingdale Avenue.

This was an early residence of Dr. John N. Hayes; once while living here he found the snow too deep to drive through, and he had Ed LaBounty drive him around in a sleigh to visit his patients.
