A second copy of this photograph was published with the caption "Lieut. William B. Mounsey of Saranac Lake, veteran of service in the Pacific theater who has returned to United States. He was sent overseas in March, 1944, participated in the fighting on Cebu island and the Philippines and served with occupation troops in Japan. He is visiting his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Ernest B. Mounsey  of 151 Main street."
