The Rainbow Lake Station was at the south end of Rainbow Lake, just north of Wardner's Rainbow Inn and south of the Rainbow Sanatorium.

It is said that work on the Adirondack and St. Lawrence railroad near is progressing rapidly. The track is laid from station nearly to the Paul Smith road from Bloomingdale, a distance of six miles.  It is further said that the road from Malone to Tupper Lake, also the branch to Saranac lake, will be open for summer travel by July 1.
