Eva B. Wardner
Eva B. Wardner of St. Regis Falls died Friday, July 12, in the Alice Hyde Hospital, Malone. She had been ill for two years.
Mrs. Wardner was born February 26, 1889 in Coreys, N. Y., the daughter of Harry and Lillian Duckett Freeman. December 10, 1910, she married William Wardner, and after-a year in Rustic Lodge, Coreys, they moved to Lake Clear. The couple worked at the Lake Clear Inn, running it after the death of Charles Wardner in 1932 until they sold it in 1950.
Soon afterwards the Wardner's moved to St. Regis Falls, to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willliam Cheney.
Mrs. Wardner is survived by her husband; one brother, Ross Freeman, Tupper Lake; and one sister, Alice Zimmerman, Tupper Lake.
Friends may call at the Anderson Funeral Home, St. Regis Falls. The Rev. George Brabon will perform the funeral service in the funeral chapel Wednesday at 2 p. m. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, Bloomingdale.
