Canadian Lynx is Killed by Hunter

A Canadian lynx, the first reported killed in Franklin County in several years, was shot Sunday by Wilson Rusha, 21, of Adams, after the big cat, wounded by an ineffective first shot, charged the hunter.

Game protector Harlow Wheeler identified the animal which measured 67 inches from head to tail tip and weighed 35 pounds. It was killed near St. Regis Falls.
