Old Address: 19 Winona Avenue

Other names: Bennett Cottage (1929), J.J. Carroll (1931); DIS; Nurses residence; College Hall.

Year built:

Other information: As a part of the Saranac Lake General Hospital, this was the Nurses House. When the hospital closed in 1967 and North Country Community College was created, this was part of its campus. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, three NCCC programs were housed there: Gerontology, the Center for Adirondack Studies, and the Wilderness Recreation Leadership program. The college bookstore was also there at one time, and later, the Admissions Office.
