Charles William "Chuck" Pandolph, Sr. from Saranac Lake, New York, was a bobsledder who competed from the early 1950s to the early 1960s. He won a silver medal in the four-man event at the 1961 FIBT World Championships in Lake Placid. He also competed in two Winter Olympics, earning sixth in the four-man event at Innsbruck in 1964.
After retiring from bobsledding, he ran a bar in Saranac Lake called Chuck's Bar. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and as a Saranac Lake police officer.

C. Pandolph dies Sunday at age 49
SARANAC LAKE — Charles W. Pandolph, 49, of 6 State Street, owner of Chuck's Restaurant at 54 Broadway and a former Olympic bobsledder, died at 5 p.m. Sunday at Saranac Lake General Hospital.
Mr. Pandolph was a life-long resident of Saranac Lake. He was born here, a son of Charles and Elizabeth Robbins Pandolph He served with the Marine Corps in World War II, through the battles for [[1]] and [[2]], and the Korean War. He was on the village police force from 1956 to '61, before buying the restaurant.
In 1971, he was elected King of the Saranc Lake Winter Carnival.
He was a member of the United States Bobsled Team in the 1964 Olympics at Innesbruck, Austria, and in many world competitions.
He was a past captain of the Fire Department, a member of Elk Lodge 1908, the American Legion, and the Policemen's Benevolent Association.
Survivors are: his wife, Marie Niles Pandolph, a son, Charles R., Saranac Lake; two brothers, James L. of Kendall Park, N. J. and Thomas L. of Bloomingdale, a sister, Mrs. Thelma Payton of Pittsfield, Mass.; a grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
