Mrs. Bertha E. Myatt
SARANAC LAKE — Bertha E. Myatt, 79, of 132 Pine St., died this morning at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.
She was born March 19, 1909, in Riverview, the daughter of George A. and Cora (Caran) Robert.
She married Howard H. Myat on April 16, 1931.
Mrs. Myatt was a resident of Saranac Lake for the past 60 years. She was employed by the Trudeau Sanitarium, the Ray Brook Sanitorium, and later the Lake Placid Club, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Bernard, and the St. Bernard's prayer group.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Howard R. of Saranac Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Beverly Jean) Law of Saranac Lake; two brothers, Francis Robert of Merrillsville and Noble Hebert of Schenectady; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Myatt.
Calling hours will take place at the Fortune Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to Wednesday and Thursday, A Catholic Daughters Bible Vigil will be held Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be performed at 11:15 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Church.
Interment will take plane at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake in May.
Memorial donations may be made to the Carmelite Monastery in care of the funeral home.
