Dr. Bertram Harold Eckmann arrived as a patient in Saranac Lake, completed his medical training and returned as a staff TB specialist. He cured at the Trudeau Sanatorium and stayed in Saranac Lake from 1945 to 1950. His hometown was Yonkers, NY. He met Estherlea Cohen Eckmann at Trudeau and they were married.
Dr. Eckmann attended the reunion of TB patients in Saranac Lake in 1987.
