Gerald Olyer

SYRACUSE — Gerald Olyer, a resident of Saranac Lake for many years, died at the Veterans Administration Hospital here July 18 after a long illness. He was 52.

A native of Lyon Mountain, he is survived by his wife, the former Georgia Bushey of Rochester and four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Guilfoil of Massena, Mrs. Winifred Scott of New York City, Mrs. Isabellc Rice of Mechanicsville and Mrs. Allan Caswell of Saranac. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Olyer was a World War I [sic] veteran and a member of the Saranac Lake American Legion post for many years.

Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
