There are only four or five camps on the pond, located in the north-east corner; the rest of the shoreline is owned by the state.

Clear Pond  is a long, narrow 97-acre pond that is separated from Rainbow Lake by an esker.  It's northeast shore was the site of the Adirondack-Florida School.  Much of the shoreline is now owned by the State of New York.

Not to be confused with Follensby Clear Pond, Little Clear Pond, or Lake Clear.
