Dr. Kathleen Boyt Jordan (née Smith) was a physician famed for administering more than two million Mantoux tuberculin skin tests in Minnesota. While based in Granite Falls with her husband Dr. Lewis Jordan, she traveled across the state to perform tests and keep track of the disease in Minnesota.

In 1927, while a student at Western Reserve Medical School in Ohio, Jordan contracted tuberculosis and was sent to Trudeau Sanatorium for treatment. It was there she met her husband Lewis Jordan, who was a recent graduate from medical school also curing from his case of tuberculosis. Dr. Jordan was inspired by her treatment at Trudeau to continue the battle against tuberculosis wherever she ended up.
