The Oxford Market was owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Effenbach and their children Ruth and son Mark who worked with them. Ruth was the last member of the family to run the store. It closed when she died. 1

In 1940 Benjamin F. Merritt and family were living here. Joseph Colletti was lodging with them. Solomon Drutz and family was also living here. Adolph Effenbach and family were living at 73 1/2.
