Killed In Italy

Pvt. Kenneth Drumm, former resident of Saranac Lake, was killed in action in Italy on June 3. He had made his home at Saranac Lake for several years. In March, Pvt. Drumm was awarded the purple heart for wounds suffered during the Italian campaign. He was in constant action from the time that he landed in Italy and also saw service in the Sicilian campaign. Prior to entering the army he was employed in the Will Rogers Memorial hospital.
